What are the benefits of Reveal clear aligners?
Reveal clear aligners are similar to other clear aligner brands but offer some unique benefits. Reveal aligners are made of a thin plastic material that is ultra-clear and does not stain or cloud up the way other clear aligners do, meaning they are practically invisible on the teeth. Other clear aligner brands often require small, clear attachments to be cemented onto the front of the teeth for the clear aligner to attach to, but Reveal aligners greatly reduce the need for these unsightly attachments.
How long will I need to wear Reveal clear aligners?
Reveal can straighten teeth in an average of 2-15 months, depending on the patient’s unique orthodontic needs. In many cases, patients complete their treatment in less than six months, which means you could have straight teeth by your next cleaning! For treatment plans to be quick and effective, patients must commit to wearing their clear aligners for approximately 22 hours per day to keep their treatment plans on track, otherwise, adjustments may need to be made and the length of treatment may be extended.
Should I straighten my teeth on my own or visit a dentist?
Companies that allow patients to take their own dental impressions at home and receive their clear aligners in the mail have become more popular, but are they as good as visiting a dental professional? Orthodontic treatment can be complicated, and some patients that use these companies end up with poorly aligned bites that have to be corrected. A few of these companies even have long histories of lawsuits being filed against them. We believe it’s better to visit a local dentist and have your smile straightened effectively the first time around.
